If we want our students to write good analytical paragraphs and essays, we need to start building a solid foundation first. When students practice constructing more sophisticated sentences, their writing skills, reading comprehension, and revising and editing skills will improve. Borrowing from the wisdom of The Writing Revolution, we’ll explore three activities that will equip students with the tools they need to recognize and create effective analytical sentences.
